Debbie Kanamoto's Biography

Debbie Kanamoto is a 4th generation Japanese. Her grandparents (on her father’s side) are Hawaiian born, thus the island look. Her mother was born on a farm in Colorado, which is the reason why she enjoys the simple life!

After she had her kids, she was in the gym and a trainer asked if she would like to train for competition. She loved the idea of setting a goal! He picked a show and as she recalled, she trained and dieted for 10 weeks. Finrally she ended up taking 1st place in the Women’s Lightweight Novice division and also the Overall Women’s Novice title. This was in 1990.
